The Earth Worm's nervous system is a very simple system. It is split into many segments which all contain ganglia which allow it to feel. Each segment is connected by a nerve chord called the ventral that connects to the main brain which is composed of the first three brains. At each segment ganglia come off of the nerve cord that allow for it to feel things like temperature, vibrations, and liquid. The nerve cords that come off at the first and last segment allow it to see light. Since the earthworm can not see these features help it feel the food it is about to eat and its ability to sense light helps it avoid predators.
